General Information
Root canal therapy is performed using local anesthesia. There are generally no restrictions after your procedure regarding driving and returning to work or school.
The majority of patients do not require any form of sedation. However, we have options to help those patients that might need to feel more relaxed for their appointment. Arrangements would need to be made for these patients at an exam appointment before treatment date.
If you have been advised to use an antibiotic premedication prior to dental appointments because of joint replacement, mitral valve prolapse or other health complications please make sure you are on the appropriate antibiotic on the day of your appointment.
